Kenwood is a very small community between Sonoma and Santa Rosa along HW 12. It has one general store, one post office, a coffee shop, Café Citti, a great Italian restaurant, and the Kenwood Inn which is a very nice B & B, Spa and Restaurant. There is a great small neighborhood just west of HW 12 that is made up of about 1000 people and a fantastic K-6 Kenwood Public School right in the neighborhood. Children who graduate from Kenwood School go on to Rincon Valley Middle School and then Maria Carrillo High School in Santa Rosa, about 15 minutes away. Kenwood also has some very nice larger parcels and properties off of Lawndale Road and along the hills on both the West and the East side of HW 12. Sugar Loaf State Park is also on the eastern edge of Kenwood and is made up of 3900 acres of open space. It has some great hiking trails along the ridge between Sonoma and Napa Valley with outstanding views of the valley. It is a quiet and tight knit community that is surrounded by open lands and vineyards.
