Sebastopol
Truly West Sonoma County. Sebastopol stretches from western part of Santa Rosa to the Coast. It is made of up of larger parcels of land, originally known for acres and acres of Apple Orchards. Many of these orchards have been converted into vineyards – some great Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The scenery is stunning with rolling hills, some forests and some more open fields and vineyards and then views of the coast along the high ridges of Sebastopol. Sebastopol is a very down-to-earth, artistic community with a great farmer’s market, a traditional Main Street, a nice Whole Foods Market as well as a fantastic Ice Cream shop called Screaming Mimi’s. They don’t have the newer housing development neighborhoods – the neighborhoods are older homes with a lot of character. There is limited housing inventory in Sebastopol and therefore the average price/sq. foot is very strong and higher than Santa Rosa.
